Brighton Pride, you are spoiling us. What a blinking line-up! Even if it was just Mariah Carey and her crazy arse, that would be plenty. But oh no, Preston Park will be ushering in limousines the whole weekend fit to bursting with high-profile acts.

On the Saturday is Mariah – we are not worthy! – as well as Eurovision double-winner Loreen and the voice of the disco generation Kathy Sledge heading up Sister Sledge. Add Bimini, Horse Meat Disco and very many more and we think you’ll agree we’re off to a blistering start.

If you do have the energy for Sunday, expect the likes of best British girl group ever (Spice who?) Sugababes, local lad Fat Boy Slim, Will Young, Natalie Imbruglia, Ultra ‘Everybody’s Free’ Naté and Eurasia’s Andy Bell. Oh and Little Gay Brother (remember when we did a New Year’s Eve party with them? No, neither do we…)

And that’s quite apart from the Street Party, the Parade and the general carryings on. Take Monday and Tuesday as personal days, dip yourself in glitter and get on down there.
