Queen Bey honours her family roots with the launch of SirDavis, a tribute to her great-grandfather, at an opulent event in Paris featuring a star-studded guest list and chic advertisements.

Beyoncé’s SirDavis whiskey isn’t, apparently, just a brand—it’s a tribute to her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a notorious moonshiner during America’s Prohibition era.

And the Paris launch was more than just a whiskey unveiling—it was a spectacle. As Beyoncé sashayed through the event in a stunning low-cut gold gown, guests were treated to the premiere of a chic advertisement for SirDavis, Bey navigating a retro-Hollywood inspired bash, SirDavis in hand, serenaded by the smooth tones of Laisse-moi respirer by The Vrooming Crew and Delores.

Adding to the glamour, Jay-Z made a cameo, evening the playing field with his quintessential cool in a three-piece tuxedo, with he and Bey lounging with the Eiffel Tower glowing behind them.

Behind-the-scenes, Beyoncé engaged with the kitchen staff, taking her Instagram followers along for the ride, sharing snapshots that flaunted her star-studded night in both full colour and timeless monochrome.

The genesis of SirDavis was a family affair, steeped in drama and determination. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated,” said Beyoncé. “SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.”

Her partnership with Moët Hennessy was instrumental, blending venerable whiskey craftsmanship with a fresh twist and for Beyoncé, this isn’t, apparently, just another entrepreneurial endeavor but a lovingly crafted chapter in her diverse career, elegantly intertwining her cultural lineage with business acumen. As for the whiskey… well, we’re not really whiskey drinkers.
