Research suggests that the likelihood of drowning can increase fivefold when consuming alcohol in temperatures exceeding 20°C.
In response, a collaboration between Malibu Rum and the Olympic diver has produced a range of heat-sensitive clothing, including knitted trunks and bucket hats. These items change colour when exposed to higher temperatures, serving as a visual reminder of the dangers of combining alcohol and water activities in the heat.
The campaign also includes a giveaway of this unique gear for UK residents aged 18 and over. Participants can enter by submitting their name and date of birth via the Malibu UK email or Instagram page until 22 August 2025.
