The Zetter Group reveals plans for The Zetter Bloomsbury, its first hotel opening in a decade, set to debut in October 2025, showcasing a blend of historical charm and modern design.
The Zetter Group is poised to introduce its latest addition, The Zetter Bloomsbury, marking its first new opening in a decade. Scheduled for a grand unveiling in October 2025, the hotel is already generating excitement with the release of its interior design preview. Designed by the well-regarded James Thurstan Waterworth, the interiors promise to maintain the brand’s unique British charm, synonymous with The Zetter’s reputation.
Echoing the brand’s tradition, The Zetter Bloomsbury will embody a distinct style, reflecting a pared-back, Georgian eclectic aesthetic. Waterworth elaborates that the new hotel draws inspiration from its proximity to the British Museum. The incorporation of antique African and Asian artworks, alongside 20th-century modern pieces, aims to create a welcoming environment for both local and international visitors.
Liutauras Vaitkevicius, The Zetter’s Managing Director, emphasises the significance of this new opening for London’s boutique hotel landscape. He highlights The Zetter’s pioneering role in the market and expresses enthusiasm about extending their renowned service and design ethos to this new property. “The unparalleled design will be matched with our conceptual and experiential service. The team and I simply cannot wait to start welcoming our guests to The Zetter Bloomsbury in 2025!” Vaitkevicius remarks.
Located near Russell Square, the hotel represents a significant redevelopment of six Georgian townhouses, each over 300 years old. The Zetter Bloomsbury promises to be a notable addition to the capital’s hospitality offerings, blending historical architecture with contemporary design elements enjoyed by many.
