MAGA caravan disrupts LGBTQ+ community in West Hollywood

A typically tranquil Saturday in Los Angeles was disrupted by a caravan identified with the 805 Patriots, a conservative group reportedly originating from Ventura County. The group drove through West Hollywood, particularly targeting the Rainbow District, a symbol of LGBTQ+ culture and community.

The caravan was described by organisers as a “MAGA Kingdom Hollywood Takeover” and portrayed as a “victory lap” through key areas of Los Angeles. The participants drove along a route beginning at Griffith Park and navigated through iconic streets such as Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Strip. The procession continued through West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard before culminating in the affluent neighbourhood of Beverly Hills, eventually finishing their journey in Santa Monica along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Reports indicate that the caravan consisted of an unspecified number of vehicles adorned with flags, with participants engaging in music playing and horn honking. These actions could be interpreted as an attempt to assert their political stance through areas traditionally known for their liberal leanings.
