Las Vegas, long known for its nightlife and entertainment scene, has welcomed a new boutique hotel aimed specifically at the gay community. The Bent Inn Las Vegas, an adults-only establishment, marks a significant addition to the Sin City’s hospitality offerings. The hotel is gay-owned and operated and has been set up with the needs of gay travellers and their allies in mind. The Bent Inn will celebrate its one-year anniversary this January.
Located just off The Strip and a stone’s throw from Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas, Bent Inn is the brainchild of husbands Mark Hunter and Greg Kafka. Inspired by the charm of Palm Springs, the duo has meticulously designed the property to blend mid-century aesthetics with modern amenities. Guests can enjoy 33 well-appointed rooms, a 24-hour lounge, an enticing menu, as well as a striking pool and hot tub area.
One of the standout features of Bent Inn is its custom mid-century inspired pulp fiction artwork. These pieces, strategically placed throughout the hotel, bring an element of playful sophistication to the space, adding to the overall charm and unique character of the establishment.
Bent Inn has integrated itself within Las Vegas’s tight-knit LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the summer, the hotel hosts a series of public pool parties known as the Splash Back summer series, which launched in April. These events feature go-go dancers, booze, and mingling between guests and locals.
In addition to the summer series, Bent Inn offers a variety of weekly events that have quickly become favourites including karaoke nights, themed kink parties, and viewing parties for new episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The success of Bent Inn is also attributed to its inclusive staffing, with queer employees across nearly every role within the establishment.
